Sandbagging?
Because we can't simply move to the front because we want to, the car and drivers have to be up to it
I was hoping we would hang on to Ferrari and be closer to the top teams. But right now it does not really look like that. unfortunately.
Ofc not, but if we cant make any predictions based on the test. What are we making predictions about?Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑12 Mar 2022, 11:40I doubt we are that much behind. and definately not behind Alfa Romeo. We haven't done any good qualifying laps yet in Bahrain.
This is where you see the difference. Ferrari had 2 off years and immediately jumped back to the top.EddyBaggio wrote: ↑12 Mar 2022, 11:38I was hoping we would hang on to Ferrari and be closer to the top teams. But right now it does not really look like that. unfortunately.
Excuse me, when did Ferrari jumped to the front, have I missed anything?Emag wrote: ↑12 Mar 2022, 11:54This is where you see the difference. Right now the discussion on Ferrari is whether they will be leading the pack or not.
On the other hand, you would be lucky if McLaren retains 4th next week. And that was the expectation really, so not much wrong with that.
But if they want to move closer to the front, they have to start working like them. When you lose 2 days of track time due to a flawed brake duct, when you also had another test to find out about this problem ...
That's not how the top teams operate.
I am guessing that the brake ducts they brought to Bahrain were different spec to the Barcelona ducts because they knew they would need more cooling requirements and can't simply revert to the barcelona spec. I feel they are trying something they think is rather important to performance as anytime the camera gets close they all huddle around the brakes, just guess whatever gamble they made isn't working out.Emag wrote: ↑12 Mar 2022, 11:54This is where you see the difference.
