So mirrors were not broken after all... and strakes are still on top of mirror cover piece... who knows if they will ever move them on the top winglet now (if they will not ban them)

Without that rod. Winglet above could vibrate heavily so definitely for structural reasons

From my POV rather the mirror box would vibrate more than that winglet. Anyway, with this rod they both will be more stable and work much more precisely.

yup, maybe with that rod connection the winglet is interpreted as a part of the mirror

is it me or is the actual mirror location the same? i wonder if mounting on the halo is more about the loop holes (for a better word) that opens if you do it? i.e these additional wings.
