he was even so pissed he let massa have a gap of about 5 seconds i think and then wheeled him in just to prove he's faster...

Koboyashi? No thank you.

Apparently rumour is there looking at Schumacher/Webber to develop the car in 2013 and then focus on Guiterrez (GP2 driver for 2014 seat if Kubica isn't healed up by then).
If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

I honestly doubt Schumacher would make a Ferrari comeback

So . . . does this "rumor" presume that Alonso is not capable of developing a car? "Test drivers" are a thing of the past . . . No reason to presume Webber will retire after this season. Prey tell, from which planet did this rumor emanate?

Yeah I hope Schumacher sticks with Mercedes. No point investing three years of hard work to build up the car and then not reap the benefits.

Schumi or Webber? Two out-of-prime dinosaurs no thank you.
Give Kamui a car that is capable of wins and see him prevail.

That rumor might as well had contained Santa Claus and the tooth fairy as it would have held the same credibility.

Sure he was a bit quicker, and Massa had a bit of a problem with tyre warmup immediately after his stops, but Alonso wasn't dominant on that day by any means.
He finished 4 seconds ahead.

With Massa having Vettel 1 second behind him. Imagine squeezing in Alonso behind Massa and Vettel when they finished the race only 1 second apart.

He was as Goran said, almost taunting Massa. He was much quicker. He just took off once he got passed.
I´m not sure but i would think Alonso slowed down on the main straight when taking the win so the gap was probably bigger.

This was the reason Alonso said it was ridiculous. It was very obvious he had another level of speed that day compared to Massa.

Alonso was for example half a second clear of Massa in Qualifying.
Him and Vettel were the only ones doing 1.13´s

frankly i think Felipe Massa is 100% finished as a top driver.

i think it's unfair to say oh he's not up there with fernando so he should be sacked, and that ferrari wants points from both drivers obviously. 2010 he was there on podiums after his 2009 accident. 2011 he had bad luck with lewis and struggled with the perelli tyres especially on hard tyres due to the car even fernando struggled. this year he's given a worser car, new design philosophy and restruture at ferrari. the first two races he did struggle with a car they didn't understand, and even ted kravitz said there using massa as a guinea pig in china yes he was 13th from 12th but he did well with the stratergy he had in the race running longer on a two stop with poor top speed and couldn't over take on the straights like the others close to nando's lap times and helped fernando in the race he was 2nd and stayed out so nando could catch up with the others.everytime he pitted there was traffic. theres also alot of pressure to deliver in ferrari and he's fighting back even though i agree he's not the same since his accident and that fernando is team leader, but he just needs a few good results and he'll gain confidence to push.

Dinosaurs? Webber is currently outperforming the current two time world champion Vettel and Schumacher is showing great promise in qualifying. By what standard would you call them dinosaurs?

Age-wise, bringing them into Ferrari first of all is laughable considering we have a 2-time world champion, arguably the best driver on the grid, in his prime to do just that.

And we both know that Webber shines when it´s not working for Vettel.
In the same way Button shined when Hamilton endured his worst ever year in his motorsport career.

It´s not a problem with the drivers (well one of them)

The problem for Ferrari lies in the design of the car. That is the issue that is not working.

it's going to be tough on massa, i don't think he'll be with ferrari in 2013 or f1 but maybe he'll perform better out of ferrari with the pressure around him

MSC07-JCGX wrote:as for webber and button only outperforming team mate when they not on form how'd you come to that conclusion then?
Because that is the reality. Just look at the numbers.
2011 was Hamilton´s worst ever year.
2012 looks to be Vettel´s worst ever year if it keeps on going like this.
MSC07-JCGX wrote:felipe is that slower than fernando but it looks really bad because of the car, in my opinion he needs to be more aggresive and have confidence but with a car like that with poor rear downforce.
Good drivers adapt to the circumstances though.
You can´t blame the car when you teammate can consistently do a better job for 3 years.
It doesn´t matter what regulations that come up, he´s slow either way it seems.

MSC07-JCGX wrote:he's always testing parts using different strategy to help fernando, he's always 2 stopping in a race when it's better on 3, running longer to hold up the pack making his tyres bad.
Yes but that is largely because he´s slow from the beginning.
Had he just been on pace in one of these three years and been relatively close to Alonso then they probably would not gamble with him all the time.

OTBD, no OTDB it doesn´t matter, the guy has clearly lost it as a top driver.
Bridgestones, no bridgestones etc. Same sh*t.

I´d almost be willing to bet that Felipe isn´t gonna take a single point until the mid-season test.
