Any idea if Ocon will be able to start from the grid? Looked like a lot of damage, and Haas had some new parts, didn't they?!

edit: he just said that they repaired the car and will start from P14

Not every track will be so easy to make up spots from a bad qualifying, but all in all a very good race. Maybe the offseason operational personnel changes are starting to pay dividends; in the past that has been a major weakness but in China and again in Bahrain they were the class of the midfield (except Gasly here but across both cars it still applies).

Well if high speed corners are where they struggle, this might be a long weekend. I think it's a pretty smooth circuit though, so that will help negate some of the issue. My guess is P10 and P14.

Haas F1 will have some lower drag wings available for the Jeddah race :

Miami should suit them a little better than Jeddah. Hopefully they can bring some updates / upgrades to Imola.

Good race by Ocon in Monaco. Qualified well, and kept his senses to just bring the points home without 'trying anything adventurous'. I would say he 'slipped under the radar' of the TV audience, and didn't get any camera coverage IIRC. However he benefited well from the 'backing up' jobs that VCARB and Williams were doing behind him.

Race pace is always pretty hard to judge in Monaco, especially when you have teams using rolling road blocks, but Haas seemed genuinely quick and easy on the tires. The Bearman pit stop was painful to watch, but in the end I doubt it made much difference. Its just wild that they were nowhere in the FPs, but when they turned up for quali both cars had Q3 pace. The VF-25 is very temperamental, its seems to change from session to session, very hard to hit a good setup window when its doing that.

Aren't they using a mash up of suspensions? The old Ferrari front but the new rear? That might be something making it difficult to set up.
