Interesting little hook feature on the edge wing.

As the document says, it doesn’t look like they’ve moved the side pod inlet top side forwards, just moved the lower edge back.

As the document says, it doesn’t look like they’ve moved the side pod inlet top side forwards, just moved the lower edge back.

I don’t think it’s possible to accommodate all that by just moving the inlet edge rearwards. A bit if both has happened with the update. Inlet opening seems to be inline with the mirror support (has moved downstream), but top edge has moved upstream too.

Either way, more proof the design first devised and then abandoned by Rb seems to be the best solution.

With the Austin upgrade Mercedes got new overbite sidepod inlets. The team brought enough parts for both cars to run the same spec.
