Don't understand the race strategy why was car in the pit for so long? The day Bernie left aston the race strategy is getting worst and worst.

Ouch.
Outqualified by STR.

This car is definitely a Q3 car, if STR manage it...
Yeah a strange one as Alonso dominated him in SQ1, so I wonder if he had a little wobble somewhere in the SQ2 lap?
So we do have a Q3 car in quali, now need to see were we stand in race pace

The sectors wer quite equal, ALO just a bit slower. STR said that it was a good lap, both were good postioned.

New document: Doc 20 - Summons - Car 18 - Alleged failure to follow Race Director's instructions.

The core of Article 33.4 is that no car may be driven in a way that is unnecessarily slow, erratically, or in a manner that could be considered dangerous to other drivers or people.

Car seems to have a bit of pace, maybe with the new tyres Stroll might have got P8. Looking forward to see what the tyre deg is like during the sprint race and hoping to see both in Q3 for qualifying.

umm, it’s the exact opposite. we’ve been top 3 in operations (strategy, pit stops, race reviews and appeals) since bernie left. one or two mishaps doesn’t make it “worst and worst”. moreover, the engineers have more data than us keyboard warriors; bar the top teams, all of them went for a single shot run.

he could’ve gotten p7 with fresh softs, but it doesn’t matter for a sprint race. antonelli was two and a half tenths away, and the delta between used and fresh softs is way higher.

Good position for Stroll!

Why Alonso was slow? Shame we should have both just behind the top teams

Alonso was 0.2 in front of Stroll all day. He just couldn't deliver when he needed to. Stroll did a good job. Let's see how they do in the race, but realistically they will stay behind the three top teams, so P7 or P8 would be what they should aim for

Same as last year. Stroll was beating or equalling alonso in sprint format iirc.

Interested to see the race pace. Worried about final sector, tyres are gonna be cooked

It seems used Medium yellow tyre for Alonso. Stroll ran with new Medium yellow in Q2 if I am not wrong.

I believe both used new Medium tyres. However, they both come out late in the session for 1 run only and did not have 2 warm up laps unlike some other teams.
