This forum contains threads to discuss teams themselves. Anything not technical about the cars, including restructuring, performances etc belongs here.
“That’s pole position after that red flag, well done”
Horner for a second race running trying to belittle Perez on his achievements.
If Perez won the championship you get the feeling Horner would go give Max a cuddle first before coming to congratulate Perez.
Rd Bull (Horner included) can not lose. If Checo wins it is their car and 'look how much we have developed this guy from an also ran to champion', if Max wins it's ' look, we gave both drivers equal opportunity to win, and the best man won'
You can be sure that part would be repeated often too
When arguing with a fool, be sure the other person is not doing the same thing.

Why quoting fact is belittling the achievement? Despite hitting wall, he got the pole under lucky circumstances. That's about it. I am sure Horner remembers Monaco qualifying last year well.
I think its great we have the 'number 2' driver up there with the 'number 1' driver. Maximises points for the team and gives us a interesting team battle. Its a shame Checo was 2 years too slow to get to where he is not. 2021, Max would have had the championship wrapped up earlier with the extra support of 2 cars being there strategically. 2022 Checo would have been P2 in the WDC.
As much as Id prefer Max to be in the lead, not going to detract from where the team/drivers are at the end. Probably tracks up to now have favoured Checo, and we know Max struggles a little with the sprint weekends finding the right balance and race pace in the car for sunday with only 1 Free Practice session. What happens ahead of us is anyones guess when tracks change to more conventional layouts.
In the end, the best man wins. There will be penalties, reliability issues down the line and the un-expected's where people can claim it cost drive A or B x amount of points in the battle.
Will RB have the guts to go soft-medium with Verstappen? Like they did in Spa last year?
It would be a good idea to on the attack to recover positions. If he can do that and extend his first stint by good margin, he can come back to fight for win. There will be a SC and he can enjoy that.
