Why are we not seeing Adrian Newey on the tracks? Is he adjusting or started with 2026 spec cars
Do you know how long it takes to fly to China from the UK?

Going to be tough to make Q3, seems less competitive than yesterday
Both cars has removed rear downforce and set-up to increase front balance. Very likely one of the few teams to go in the reverse direction in favor of race pace, cause the car is very stable for Alonso.
If they did, not sure that is the reason...Alonso's top speed was slower today. Maybe the wind changed direction to a head wind ?

Alo saying he had some motor problems in the sprint race.
Listening to his radio he complained on lap 5 about lack of deployment out of the last corner (of the previous lap). Nothing else after that.
In an interview, he said he was lacking power at the end of the straight for 8 laps.

Read couple of quotes online that ALO is saying these races are experiments, but let's see race pace today as it'll be first full dry race.

Not so encouraging as it means they don't understand car fully and questionable if next car updates would work but again tunnel has changed. I hope new wind tunnel is showing issues that weren't visible with prev tunnel.

I haven't been able to find a place to find out how many sets of tires each driver has left, and what type of tires they have left. And I think it's vital information. I think most drivers have saved all their hard tires, and I think it's the best decision because this track is a tire-eater. Those who haven't taken this into account, I think they're dead for the race.

Many will probably start on soft tires and then immediately switch to hard tires. Starting on soft tires will ensure they don't fall too far behind from the start. But if someone has several sets of hard tires available and knows how to manage them well from the start, they'll likely take the win.

That is, if ALO starts on hard tires and has at least one more new set... and takes care not to burn the first ones even if he's slower at the start... we might have surprises.

Obviously, the rest aren't stupid, and I suppose they've thought exactly the same. I think the hard tires will decide the race.
Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear.

Looks like most teams will do MHH but Aston will do SHH. Makes me nervous. Any idea how many laps have the used MED have done?

They went 19 laps on used mediums in the sprint and degradation was awful. I can't see AM starting with a soft and extending the runs with the hards.

Sometimes you don't get more laps from the medium over the softs but the softs are still faster.

They have one set of new softs, 2 sets of used Mediums, although AMF1 will sometimes put 1 lap on a tire then take it off, so they show up as used but are new. That being said I think those mediums are used from Sprint Quali, so they have 3 laps on them. Based on that information, I think they're gonna start on softs.

One sprint quali set was used in the sprint, so one of those mediums still available must essentially be new. I guess thry used it for the lap to the grid yesterday not in any official session, at least.

SQ2 set was used in the sprint and was handed back, like the FP1 medium set. I also guess, like search, that they used the 4th medium set on the way to the grid for the sprint and they will use it for the start of the race. SQ1 set is the 2nd available medium set for the race.

It's the old set of Mediums (5 laps), so seems like they plan to use both.

Does not matter, technical failure for ALO.
