Well...
https://www.cnbc.com/2025/03/31/aston-m ... -cash.html
"Stroll’s stake in the company is poised to increase to roughly 33% from about 27.7% as part of the transaction."
"The sale of a minority stake in the Formula One racing team."

Not surprising at all because F1 is high cash burn marketing campaign and only a few teams on the grid can really make money. Not sure what the future lies for AN who is now a minor shareholder and partner.

Not sure you understood the article. It said the Aston Martin car company sold it's shares in AM F1. In a seperate transaction, Stroll's "Yew Tree" increased it's stake in AM the car company.

The value of AM F1(Racing Point)has gone up over 20 times what Stroll paid for it.

Nothing to indicate the team is unhealthy. Aston Martin is the one who needed the cash. The 1 billion for Max's services seems dubious from this news however. Worse if there is no Middle Eastern backing. :)
For Sure!!

AM shareholder seems to be in favor of AM (car) intends to sell its minority investment stake in Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team. I think AN is a partner and shareholder of the F1 team, not AM (car).

Who are they selling to?

That's not true at all anymore.

Wouldn't be surprised if the F1-Team is in the profit zone in 2025, the latest numbers are from 2023 (where the team was still in the bulding phase).

Aston Martin Lagonda (car company) is the one who struggles since years. But it's important to say that the companies are independent. Lawrence Stroll (with partners!) is invested in both companies and Aston Martin Lagonda has a minor stake in the F1 Company, which will be sold now (because Lagonda needs cash!).

Is not linked to any "high cash burn marketing campaign" as that is covered by sponsors.

By raising from 27,7% to 33%, they can request a waiver as per UK regulations as the ownership will be above the 30% threshold.

But the real aim is to inject more liquidity and avoid more debt into Aston Martin for the road car business where Lawrence has the major ownership and he is the executive chairman. The financial health of the road car company is very bad. Numbers are public. They are going into a 5 years plan of restructure.

Yeah, as you say, Newey has for sure looked through all the collected data from the test days, but had for sure no influence on the design of an update for mid April. Who expects bigger things at this stage of the season will be disappointed anyway. Imola or Barcelona will be hopefully a decent step (which is for sure not 5 tenths in the last year of regulations) and maybe a Newey influenced update in Silverstone (or later before the summer break).

Other sites says ,there are no new parts...

"Adrian Newey has been in charge of supervising the data collected and analyzing it taking into account the structure of the AMR25, and has given direct instructions to carry out changes in the settings that should allow Aston Martin to improve the bad start to the season. We shouldn’t expect miracles, there are no new parts, but there is a new way of understanding how the car behaves and which settings are best suited to its characteristics."
