Is this the first time we see a pitot array on the RB10? If I did not miss it they have not done any evaluation of the air flow before.
Now, they check their "old" aero...this means they are now starting to develop the next front wing spec...quite late.

They already had 3 or 4 different frontwings this season...

Running pitot arrays usually is not to prepare development but to check wind tunnel correlation.

two years ago ,MGP did the same and it was for balancing the car to make the rear tyres survive. No?

I actually heard from someone who worked with the team that the cascades were hindering downforce and weren't matching the wind tunnel so they were removed.
Motorsport Graduate in search of team experience ;)

I believe it's mostly about shedding drag. Obviously if the car is more stable as a result of more consistent DF front to rear tyres will hold out longer.

What is that torpedo that is hanging under there? Is it a new testing device? Looks like the front is transparent.

Ah, thanks for that, didn't realize, I thought the correvit was smaller. (couldn't they have made it as small as their nose cam :lol: )
