The cheapest sort of pride is national pride, every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud adopts, as a last resource, pride in the nation to which he belongs; thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority.

Yuki messed it up in the first two corners but he probably should have used new softs in that first run. The red flag was always going to be a reason to get the banker lap in. Gutted for Yuki but hopefully Max can get the win for Honda.

he will start with usual bulls*it "we prepared the car for the race" just to see the tyres fade away tomorrow

I hope he can keep Leclerc at bay and take the podium tomorrow.

What a megalap from Super Max. The RB21 is strong in high-speed corners. Of course, it's still a bit slower than the McLaren, but Verstappen made the difference today. Let's hope he can convert it into a win tomorrow. With the Imola upgrades coming, the championship is still within reach.

I think for fighting for the title and stuff, the car needs a solid 3 tenths more in purely pace alone. I don't think any upgrade is going to get there with all the problems back at the factory with correlation and other things.

Such laps are not for every weekend. Sometimes you just crash out with these kinds of laps.

Yeah, expectations need to be tempered for tomorrow definitely. I think P3 would be a good result with the car we have. Anything above is overperforming. A win would be remarkably special.

That lap is pure perfection.

Thats your reason why Max is a class above others on the grid. Just goes to show when you get the likes of Alonso who has been in the sport the longest recognises the fact.
Mess with the Bull - you get the horns.

don't rush too much, Max made a miracle today and McLaren drivers weren't able to put everything together, we will see tomorrow the real value of the RB21 (if it stays dry)
