They are pretty fast indeed. But wait! Did we expect anything less?

Yes, this is Monza – barn doors aren't meant to be fast... That said, they're currently using DRS, I guess they're gambling on their superior race pace, and 2 DRS straights to make up the difference.

Is McLaren having reattachment problems? Jenson is reporting that he had a huge moment of oversteer going into Parabolica

Maybe they are running more wing so they don't have to rely on the EBD as much...doesn't EBD rob the engine of horsepower. Maybe increased engine performance can overcome the drag penalty of the bigger RW

Nope, at high speed you need *way* more power to overcome just a little drag. That's why a Veyron has over 1000bhp, while cars that are only a very little bit slower get away with 5-600.

Shall we make that 0.921?

If I'm not mistaken, But on his +0.659 lap lost most of the time through the last sector. I'm either blind or he was +0.009 on the second sector.

Ferrari were a bit surprisingly slow though. Kinda scary how slow Massa was considering he did about 22 23 laps.

SV was the slowest through the speed trap - 327 kph
LH - 336 kph
VP -347 kph

It gets better for SV, he was also 0.8 sec off the pace through second sector from LH

Sounds to me like maybe a different fuel load going on for rbr; and did anyone see who did/didn't use DRS?

Webber is clocking in 334 at the speedtrap so it almost sounds like Vettel wasn't using drs (7pm/h)

Think SV did 25 laps without a DRS assessment even once? Sure they are trying something diff, but I think this is going to be like 2007 when Mclaren dominated the track.
