But, another thing for now. I've been wondering about something, and after the launch-ceremony, I'm wondering about it even more... Are things a little 'iffy' between Button and Perez? The last couple of months there we're some articles/interviews from Button in which I had the slight feeling that he wants to make it clear he's number 1, that he has developed the new car and that he'll be the WDC-candidate for Mclaren. And Perez looks to me like he's having none of that. The body language and talks between the 2 gave me even more that impression.

Or am I seeing things? :)
Looks like this got overlooked with talk of helmets.... I must say tho, I totally agree!! I don't suppose that Ron Dennis will be at all happy with his drivers fighting for superiority in the team. Perez should sit back for a couple of races, learn what he can from Button and then get on with it. Hamilton and Button were never like that at a launch.

They did a great job on that video, tastefully done without ever lapsing into melodrama.
Good taste is the main charactheristic of they work done by Mclaren, not only in the video but also in the car. It looks beautiful and I expect a really strong perfomance during this season.

Is it just me or are Lenovo notebooks popular in F1?

Lenovo are very big in the corporate world.

They are pretty much regarded as "the business brand" for these types of things.

Thinkpads always have been, for what should be obvious reasons.

McLaren are going to be there or thereabouts this year.

I'm confident that Lewis would have won a couple more championships if Bridgestone had stayed the tire supplier.
Pirelli have only been in Formula 1 the past couple of seasons and Bridgestone did stay as tyre supplier for 2009 and 2010. McLaren simply produced an awful car when the regulations changed.

Most reliable hardware you can find. I saw Thinkpads on the hand of a world level volleyball coach, in F1, at IBM (of course) and a acquaintance of mine uses it on some Africa's mines without any issue despite the dust.

Definitely the best business laptops out there. Ergonomics, design, engineering, quality of materials used and construction are all best in the industry.

Well, the 2009s car was awful but the next one was good, Lewis lost his opportunity to win the title because of a few mistakes and a terrible late development. I remember that after SPA Lewis had chances of winning the title, then it came Italy, the DNF and other issues, and the last development in the car didnt work, it was a shame.

In 2010 Lewis did a fantastic season given he had only the 3rd fastest car. He was contender mainly because of the mistakes of the others. A perfect season would had give him the title but the others contenders were far from perfect and were even though title contenders/winner.

What’s next?

Sergio Perez gets his first opportunity to drive a Vodafone McLaren Mercedes car tomorrow (Wednesday). The knock-on effects of this morning’s fuel-pump issue mean that he will begin his day by continuing today’s initial aero and balance checks.

The aim for tomorrow afternoon is to conduct a series of longer runs – possibly incorporating live pitstops into the mix if the team is satisfied with the day’s initial progress.

Jerez Test Report Day 1 - (From McLaren)

The morning’s running was compromised by a mechanical fuel-pump issue, which cost a couple of hours’ track-time, but the problem was quickly rectified and the team was able to run productively for the remainder of the afternoon.

Jenson spent the first part of the day’s programme running a lower-lip rake to complete some aero mapping work. The end of the day saw the team evaluate the effects of a series of mechanical set-up changes, using both the Supersoft and Hard Pirelli tyres.

Both the aero mapping and the balance changes fell in line with the team’s pre-test expectations. Jenson set his fastest time of the day on the Hard compound.
