Indeed. You're either giving pressure or taking it, as Martin Brundle would say. I think we all know the situation has changed at Ferrari and it's a case of needs must.

I think Prodromou joining McLaren is a major move, but it seems it will not happen in time for any impact on the 2014 season. From Autosport.com:
It emerged in Japan that Prodromou, who has worked alongside Adrian Newey at Red Bull since 2006, has agreed to join McLaren when his current contract runs out at the end of next year.
He should be a big help in closing the gap in aero performance, but not in creative interpretation of the regs. I am not a McLaren fan, but I do applaud this move. Should help McL a lot.
Enzo Ferrari was a great man. But he was not a good man. -- Phil Hill

F1.com: There are a lot of rumours around the staff movements for next season, not only about who will be your team mate, but also that there will be a top level technical person joining McLaren. Do you have any information on this?

Button: I am not involved in any of these processes, and Martin Whitmarsh would be the best person to ask. One thing is for sure, though, Ross Brawn will not join the team next season.
So if Button isn't party to the process, then how would he be so sure about Brawn? And even if he knew, why would he think it was his place to divulge it? Button's more savvy than that, I think. It almost comes across sounding like an ultimatum, as in an "over my dead body" sort of thing. Perhaps I'm reading too much into it. Did Button leave Brawn on a particularly sour note?
maybe this is the reason why Button was not signed yet ? Mclaren tries to contract Brawn?

Button must be miffed about Brawn considerably as his departure back then from Brawn was a bit rough if i remember correctly .
Button was accused of breach of contract because of visiting Mclarens premises .....

1. Button is not hiring technical personnel, he has no voice in it. 2. Button may know about decisions. 3. Why would Button be miffed or whatever about winning championship and going to a better team? 4. Why would it matter (feelings of one driver or Ross Brawn(?) 3 years later)?

Prodromou is a headline grabbing McLaren technical signing. I'm surprised - how (RB allowed it), why or how much, especially if he's to work earlier than 2015. They should have release clauses like football players :) .

Can diresta keep his seat?
Sutil as well, these two seem to be the easier targets for an new driver to come in.
Maybe Massa goes to force India if he doesn't get the lotus drive.
For Sure!!

Why wouldn't he? He just finished 11th in a slow FI. He's much better than any alternatives and you shouldn't judge a driver by only recent races.

Sutil/Massa - Mallya hires who he wants and you can't help but like it. Their reactions to Ferrari (Bianchi) and McLaren trying to push their drivers are priceless. "It's fine that Bianchi is young and fast we'll test him but we prefer Sutil because we know him". They used to go for younger talents so who knows, they had Calado for a while so maybe it's him?

neither Sutil nor di Resta seem to be able to lead FI out of the dip they got buried in since the tyre changed -in the same ways as Vergne and Ricciardo at TR.
Sure they are supposed to drive the car but a true champion will also drive the team in the right direction ,no?

Massa and Hulkenberg look more hungry to land a competitive drive than those two ..even if Sutil had a good run yet very optimistic run to the first corner..

Now with Sauber back on track a drive there seems to be attractive again ,so Hulk could have second thoughts if Lotus does not sign him ...but who else to take ?

Massa didn't look competitive today and he seems to be hungry like one who ate to much.

Sutil has never made a secret of his 'supporters'. With regards Di Resta, it was suggested on Sky that McLaren are keen to get Kevin Magnussen in a (presumably Mercedes powered) seat for next season. Should he be out of a race seat he'd presumably be Mercs 3rd driver.

*edit* Brundle stated Hulkenberg is signed up somewhere for 2014, Eddie Jordan claims it is Force India.

More and more people wandering in Japan paddock suggest that Alonso to Mclaren is in place for 2015, as well as Hulk to Lotus.

I always wonder if they all (who say these rumours) refer to one person(who probably said this rumour first).

Everybody wants to be the first who talked about the thing.

Another thing is twitter. you can post whatever you want and some others will think it is true and tweet the same. If they're right they say "wow look here i was right" if they aren't right nobody cares. What i want to say is that the internet made it a lot easier for rumours to spread... and if one persons says something others will jump the train.

interestingly, even though Mclaren had Oliver Turvey in Japan Magnussen was also flown there when there was a concern
that Button might not be able to race with his hand problem

So he could have had his debut F1 race almost exactly 18 years after his fathers had his debut at Aida standing in for Hakkinen

I can already see both Alonso and Hamilton in McLaren-Honda in 2015 if Mercedes won't be compatitive car next year. That would be some epic era.

But it puts Red Bull in the same bind as McLaren were in with Lowe; i.e., what's Red Bull going to do with him next year?
