Wolff is confirming (at last) that George's car has a straight-line deficit they can't explain compared to his teammate.
As a team, we are looking into where his losses are coming from; there is a lot for us to look at and investigate as we are seeing a deficit, particularly on the run to the final chicane here, that we can't currently explain. We saw something similar at Silverstone which we thought was down to driving style, but George has worked diligently this weekend on that, and it hasn't resolved the issue.
Russell currently trying to fight for a title against a teammate who's car is inherently half a second faster by default.

At T15, Kimi was one tenth ahead. By T18 the gap was half a second. T15 to T18 is flat out to the bus stop chicane.

It's pretty strange that world-class engineers can't figure this out. George even gas-lighted himself into believing it was a driving style issue.
