Pirelli rubber in 2013

overtaking is not really entertaining if you look at it.
Especially if there is a big speed difference.

The entertainment comes from hunting down another car, chipping away at a couple tenghts to set up to have a chance at an overtake. And if that overtake requires that you have to outbrake the oponent then all the better. If it takes ten laps to that even more exciting.

Watching overtakes be a done deal acceleration onto a straight isn't really exciting. It should happen under braking with similar grip levels and performance between the two cars. I much prefer the bridgestone days, even now.

I hear ya. I just want the deserving driver and car to win. That's who deserves the trophy, ultimately.

There are many occasions where in times past with hard tires a driver might sense an advantage and try for an offline pass...Whereas today,,unless by chance the drivers senses an almost 100% chance of success then to go offline is suicide.
