It´s 9-6 in Alonso´s favor.
Alonso´s average qualifying position is 5.79 and Massa´s 8.14

He´s on average 2,5 tenths faster then Massa in Qualifying as well.
Only Alonso and Vettel has reached Q3 every single time this year.

But i guess some people just don´t want to see things for what they really are.

The quali results so far in 2013. Alonso faster -, Massa faster +:

Australia 0.003
Malaysia 0.14 WET
China -0.145
Bahrain -0.54
Spain -0.001
Monaco [Massa did not qualify]
Canada -1.576 WET
Britain -0.392 Q2
Germany 0.083
Hungary -0.138
Spa -0.577 WET
Monza 0.01
Singapore 0.048
Korea -0.185
Suzuka 0.287

Delta: -2.983 -1.407 -0.97
Ave: -0.213 -0.108 -0.088

Massa and Alonso are very close in quali this year. Overall Alonso is faster on the average by 0.213sec in 14 sessions. But Canada wet qualifying is skewing the results where Alonso was 1.6 seconds faster. Without Canada the average is -0.108 in favor of Alonso. In 11 dry quali sessions (excluding Massa who was DNQ in Monaco), the average is -0.088 for Alonso.

Some people just get confused what the standard on this board is. One year Vettel is crap because Webber outqualifies him at times, disgarding any context, and the next year when it's Alonso and Massa, people suddenly cry for context.

That's why I don't change my standards, regardless of the year or the driver, but I understand why it's hard to keep up for some people.

You've missed the point spectacularly there. The initial poster stated it was incredible what he was getting out of his Ferrari, yet Massa has out qualified him 6 times so in 40% of qualifying sessions he has been getting less out of the car than the much maligned Massa.

Webber reacts like a child robbed of his favorite toy ....mind you he gets several million €s per year for his driving duties and still has no issue humilating his bosses.

I think Webber cannot complain .Over the years his chances to beat Vettel simply got less and less as Vettel honed his skills when Webber had his armoury fully developped .He does not seek a competitive drive in F1 anymore so what ? This is telling the whole story .
On the other hand -i don´t think the team would have been on the back foot if Horner had headed to his wife after Korea but he chose to attend the Japanese GP - tells something about priorities in life when top brass of the outfit make statements like this.
I think webber will win later on even if it will be a bit pale to know Vettel is playing team player when it does suit him ....

Well it's not that simple. First of all the Malaysia race was pretty f'ed up. The team told Mark to slow down due to saving tires, the same goes with Vettel. The point here is that Vettel did not obey team orders. If he have said to team "listen Horner, i am a racing driver and i will not slow down" then Horner could pass this message to Mark and i bet he would not slow down. This was a back stabing move. Also not forget the reaction of Vettel "i didn't know ..." and "i would have done differently now" and after all that "i'm not sorry and i would do it again". And then some people raise question why some people boo Vettel?

Ok, let's continue. What is really the role of Helmut Marko? I wanna know. I have no clue why they have him.

Another thing, stating that both drivers have equal car ... how do you know? What if Vettel has better engine map? Some people stated the sound of both RBR cars are different.

About Japan strategy ... why didn't they choose 3 pit stops for Vettel? You really think this wasn't thought before? They will give Mark his chance to win last one race in F1 after they are 100% sure Vettel is a champion and give him at least opportunity to have same car maybe.

And that's why i am looking forward to 2014, no more blowing exhaust gases on dif, narrower front wings, no beam wings ... actually less aerodynamical grip and more focus on mechanical grip.

So on 6 occasions is enough to warrant that he´s not been incredible in getting stuff out of the Ferrari?
You´d have to completely disregard 99% of the rest in order to think like that.
Getting stuff out of a car is not Quali exclusive.

Alonso.

The only one not to be beaten by his team mate in a race so far (Vettel was beaten all ends up in Malaysia).

The main problem in Malaysia was that Vettel got the undercut when it should have been given to Webber. This was to protect Vettel from the Mercedes of Hamilton behind him. In order to compensate Webber for this, Vettel was supposed to hold station behind Webber.
