oversteer vs. understeer

Race Car Engineering & Mechanics by Paul Van Valkenburgh. A bit dated, but a classic.

To someone new to racing, the terms, understeer, oversteer, push, tight, and loose have been used to describe handing conditions. Some words mean the same thing.
Oversteer, and loose are just different ways of saying the same thing. And Understeer, push, and tight are the same too.
One way of remembering .... Oversteer .. lOOse (letter "o")
