Theres no point in arguing anything actually since this isnt verifiable until the bidding process is over with. There isnt even data on the strategy michelin suggested.
Actually it´s the other way around, it´s Bernie who is ignoring Michelin´s POV and he insist talking BS about Michelin building tires to be put in december and removed in june
And looks like many here listen to him with too much atention and keep repeating the same absurd argument about Michelin manufacturing too hard tires. They never said that, they actually said the contrary, it´s posible to manufacture better tires while keeping pit-stops for more strategic races
But Bernie feel the need to defend current filosofy/strategy with Pirelli tires so he attacks Michelin because of proposing better tires....
Lately we see lots of threads about how to improve F1, if V6 engines are good or not, how good/bad fuel saving is, how would you solve F1 problems...
No need to look further, THIS is one of main problems with current F1, tires that do not allow drivers to drive fast because they´re ruined....
F1 cars cornering slower than they could because tires can´t handle that for the whole stint so they need to drive significantly slower than they are able to, if anyone here think that is not a BIG problem for F1 I´ll need a good and detailed explanation
Now a new manufacturer says he could solve that and manufacture tires as they have always been (soft for pit-stops but strong enough to resist constant punishment while they last), and Bernie start (continue) saying BS, and people like you say that´s not verifiable.... like if tires would have always been like current pirellis or Michelin was proposing something weird...
The weird thing is current tires
Edit: sorry for the ranting, but I can´t cope with current tire strategy nor Bernie, they both are easily main two problems for F1, racing tires that do not allow racing, and a man in charge that cannot see how his product is plummeting
