Is Nissan at all part of Renault F1?

it's true, TC is co devloped with Nissan R&D section!

this days, Renault lead the diesel devlopment design while Nissan lead the fuel engine devlopment design for all Renault brands, Nissan included!
The VQ series of V6s have been slowly migrating to Renault cars lately, the very engine in the 350Z and many Nissan products of late. And in Japne this engine is available in direct injection form as well

Told u guys there was a Nissan guy for TC...

Anyway I heard the 350z uses a Renault block. Somebody correct me on this.

That is wrong. What RacingManiac wrote is true.

The first clue should be that the author writes that the 350Z has a 3.0 litre engine when it actually has a 3.5litre engine, like all Z cars have always had the engine capacity in the name from 240-350.

That makes sense; I was just referring to where I got my "sources." It was kinda suspicious when they said the 3.0 was in the 350Z
