If they were doing it that way, there would be no way of controlling it.
But accusation is that they can make huge power during qualifying.
Could there be an additive in oil which evaporate, and goes through breather pipes into the engine?
Note that the oil is also used to lubricate valves as noted in another thread. I think this would be an easier way to induce oil vaporization with the boost pressures .
