And onother one:
Alpine has announced that Mercado Libre, Latin America’s most popular e-commerce platform and personal sponsor of Franco Colapinto, has signed a partnership deal with the team.

Nice. I wonder if we'll get a pink version in some races again with the blue and pink inverted

I still don’t like BWT pink but the livery is clean, easy to understand and a progress compare to last year

Quiet in here, but just wanted to chime in and say that the Alpine is by far the best looking car on the grid this year, esp. under lights. Kudos!

Ya, good to see eni back in F1.
It will be interesting to see how Doohan will perform comparison to Gasly.

Any word on the Alpine performance and pace in this weeks testing?

Wondered if they’d found a decent development seam after their stronger finish to last season.

They looked to be the best of the midfield alongside Williams to me. Very smooth test, good long run pace. I'd probably put them 5th right now.

Thanks JPower- interesting. I did think they had a quietly efficient test so was surprised to see little media mention.

You have them ahead of Aston at the moment? I found AM a tough read- I feel like there are glimpses of pace but hard to get a full read.

Power Unit-wise, any idea of Renault have any reliability upgrades to eek out any additional performance or have they checked out now with their pending exit from the sport?

Yes, I'm not sold on Aston just yet. The Alpine made this test look easy in comparison. No issues with handling balance or tire deg like I saw from Aston. But who knows, these cars are heavily track dependent.

I don't think the PU has been touched. I would think Viry is pretty much closed for business at this point.

Thanks!

Looking forward to seeing how they shape up in AUS :)

This is even better! Alpine usually was weak in Bahrain. Its not their track. Definitely.

I far as I read most of jurnalists put Alpine in P5 or P6 (after or in front of Williams).

Williams gets whole rear of the car from Mercedes, so i guess they will be better than in 2024 - on the other hand they were lacking money for proper changes to the car for 2025. Williams for sure has good driver lineup, better than Alpine (Doohan). On the other hand Alpine was very good in development and in tests they were running with high fuel levels and not looking for top laps.

I'm glad I was wrong about Briatore. I thought his main job would be wrapping the team in pretty gift wrap to sell it. But no. It's better that way.

It is very calm here…

Only positive point is that Doohan is doing great, better than expected.

But damn, Gasly was optimistic for this year and for now they are dead last :/
