In the picture above,the rear half of the edge-wing of the Sauber is more inboard than the front half. Is this per regulation or a Sauber-special? I never recognized this on other cars.

Can't be a regulation thing if you don't notice it on other cars. Would it be an easier way to get more outwash but may not be the overall best solution for the whole floor?

So Mercedes actually retained their extremely undercut monocoque flancs that helped them make the infamous 2022 'zero-pods'... interesting..

+1 Interesting. Just goes to show how intentionally oversized the sidepods are in this formula. Merc still get the advantage of keeping the HX mass closer to center with those monocoque undercuts, while inflating the sidepods out to the more advantageous areas.

As it relates, notice the outline of the sidepod compared to the size of the radiator ducting in Fabrega's photo of the C45 at Singapore here:
