Now, on topic.

A nice twist of words in the first sentence! You should become a lawyer.Ciro Pabón wrote: Also, I totally agree with you that Hamilton must be easy to overtake. Of course, on every race you compete, you see a rookie on the podium on his first two races, specially in Formula One. We have no reason to wonder how he could achieve that: most people have done something similar and we yawn every time somebody else do that again. These are old news, that are interesting only to people comfortably reclined on their wheelchairs, gobbling Viagra and suffering Alzheimer.
Felipe had a faster car than Raikkonen, that was obvious. He had probably the fastest car even in race condition but failed to MAKE it the fastest car.Ciro Pabón wrote:If Felipe made mistakes or Kimi "The Ray" Räikönnen was unable to overtake Felipe, it was because the cars weren't good enough: after all, what's a Ferrari? A piece of junk supported by mediocre engineers that throw ill prepared drivers onto the track only to shame sponsors by virtue of hiring retarded mechanics, lead by managers that know nothing about racing, people without history or future. Felipe proved that during the qualy, where he only overcome the mediocre competition of a mere 21 less than competent drivers on little "machines who could".
Eat your words then.Ciro Pabón wrote:Thank heaven no sarcasm is allowed in this forum. Someone could try to belittle the drivers that risk their lifes for our entertainement (if you can call that sleepy parade entertaining) on every race. If I see some sarcastic people around here I will denounce them to the forum moderator.
Get real mate. Does the simulation model the track grip multiplier factor off the race line? Does it properly simulate the elevation function of the curve itself? The bumps? The bumps are just polygons. Simulation will always have flaws. Ie Don't really bother comparing to real, chances are it is far from it.ds.raikkonen wrote:i would nt call massa an idiot...but what he did wuz somethng that rookies do it wuz unforgivable..blew a ferrari win...that right hander is very tricky...even while playing F1 on my comp, i lost rear grip completely many times...although its good for o.t.,it shud be handled very carefully...
Massa should've done that switched to the inside asap. Why he didn't? Not confident or too confident? Or a moron? He braked early.. maybe trying to get a good speed into turn 2/3. But at the same time he let Hamilton through on the outside of 2.... Did he not learn from Schumacher in Hungary as a prime example? Don't ever give way. Confidence imbalance.Ray wrote:What I don't get, for the life of me, is why the pole sitter does not get the inside line. How come on tracks with a right hander for the first turn, the pole position is lined up on the outside? That makes no sense to me. I think that's idiotic!
Now, on topic.I think he was overzealous, not an idiot. For sure it was a stupid move, and he's better than that. But I wouldn't go as far as calling him an idiot. Great initiative, bad judgement. As they used to say in the Marine Corps.
Yes crap happens. But he did not recover from it. He either damaged the diffuser? Or just ran out of confidence to push in order not to make another mistake. Alongside Schumacher and with his rapid improvement over 2006, I thought he'd learn that he"ll go even faster in the same place where his mistake was made.DaveKillens wrote:Bizadfar, I think you miss the point that Ciro's post was mainly sarcasm.
Anyways, Massa just made a mistake, pure and simple, under the pressure of trying to pass Hamilton. These guys get paid not to make mistakes, but sometimes cow crap happens.
So. You play a few video games, and you become an expert driver. Damn. I shoulda started playing them a LONG time ago. Hell, I'd be world champ right now.ds.raikkonen wrote:yeah ... games are not even near the real thing...but they do give you a taste of it....after the easier 1st sector, the next2 sectors are a big challenge in Malaysia...and getting on the back straight with decent speed after the tight right hander is really tricky...highly technical circuit...DEMANDS balance
