Myself I'm not too charmed with the way that wingy-thingy looks (at least now - and it's not even painted) but I agree with mrmr. There's nothing in the FIA Technical Regulations about beauty as far as I'm aware. Correct me if I'm wrong. So banning new things on this basis is nothing but CHEATING by the FIA, FOM etc.
Sometimes they take really strange decisions. Like mass-dampers = moving aero element


Looking back at McLaren I have to say that even if it seems ugly for some, it's DIFFERENT, which is a rare case in modern F1 with all it's restrictions. Diversity is what I appreciate a lot.
In terms of publicity, glamour etc. - I wonder what Vodafone would choose among these 2 options:
- - Title winning ugly monster
- Race winning beauty
It's a rethorical question IMHO

PS: I'm sure if FW26-"I am the walrus"-car would become title winning, there would be plenty of ppl considering it beautiful
