You got to love conspiracy theorists because they love putting doubt in peoples mind for the sake of making money by selling books.. or selling videos..they are just as worst as Slyvia Browne or John Edwards the so called psychic's
Simon: Nils? You can close in now. Nils?
John McClane: [on the guard's phone] Attention! Attention! Nils is dead! I repeat, Nils is dead, ----head. So's his pal, and those four guys from the East German All-Stars, your boys at the bank? They're gonna be a little late.
Simon: [on the phone] John... in the back of the truck you're driving, there's $13 billon dollars worth in gold bullion. I wonder would a deal be out of the question?
John McClane: [on the phone] Yeah, I got a deal for you. Come out from that rock you're hiding under, and I'll drive this truck up your ass.

i m skeptical about this moon affair,,,it wuz very foggy..bcoz of the conspiracy theories...all those which are mentioned, including the absence of a blast crater etc. then there s the cold war effect ... ppl trying to outshow each other...going to such an extent as landing on the moon, i saw a video 'Did we land on the moon' which has got pretty interesting stuff ... the russians claimed that the UV radiations of space was unsustainable etc...all in all i dont believe that the US astronauts ever landed on the moon.

In addition the NASA & The Pentagon is spending biblical amount of tax payer's money, and the ppl dont care about that, pretty interesting to see ppl supporting NASA's wild goose chases in space. No offense

With respect ds.raikonnen, I or the other people here have nothing to give or take from NASA. Know the facts before you call all the missions 'Wild Goose Chase'.

While we are on the subject of 'Man on the moon' and 'conspiracy theories', I think we should listen from the man itself, Buzz Aldrin. Watch till the end.

I find this thread disgusting.

I was there, watching TV, heart beating, when Borman, Lovell and Anders had the balls to go to the moon on a trip with no guarantees. I've read Julius Verne book not many years before, I was a Tintin fan, I'm a private pilot. These three guys are high in the list of my heroes and they are among the best pilots ever.

To even try to take their fame away, just for some half-brained man sell a couple of books or a Fox video is astoundingly cinical. To believe this kind of bull manure you have to be a moron. A moron. Yes, I said moron.

On the other hand I try my best to respect everybody here, so, if you believe in alien autopsies, fake moon landings, UFO crashes in Area 51, pagan gods or CIA crashing planes on Twin Towers, please, be my guest. And, please, send me your personal e-mail adress: I am in the posession of 150 million dollars left by Pablo Escobar in a hideaway. I only need 10.000 dollars to pass them through customs. I'll give you a 20% cut for all your problems... :)

Well, now I'm sorry. I shouldn't have used the word moron. I should have said "gullible". I apologize profusely, but imagine someone saying that some of the people you admire most did not do what you admire them for...

BTW, did you know that if you do a google search for "gullible definition" you get zero results?

Don't worry Ciro, I'm sure everyone on this forum has moronic tendancies, and yes we've all been gullible, I was just being sarcastic with that last line, people have been called much worse.

As far as I'm concerned you're all morons, after all you're sitting here speaking to me.

what a joke....you know why the moon landings became so uninteresting to people? because we landed on the moon 6 times, and we found nothing that wasn't here on earth already. people got instantaneously bored with the idea, to the point that NASA had to pay for TV networks to cover the moon landings.

i've seen a few moon rocks in my life and they look alot different than any rock i've seen on earth (lots of holes in them), but supposedly they have the exact same mineral content.

also, there's a few retro reflectors on the moon and every time the weather is right some guy gets up and measures the distance with a laser. the moon's orbit is getting farther and farther away from us.
I love to love Senna.

No, moron was accurate. Man was meant to explore. He always has and always will. And that is the fundament of NASA's "wild goose chase"; To expand the foundation of knowledge.

It takes very little knowledge to sit in a pub and claim this or that conspiracy.

So have we begun to explore space? A picture is worth a thousand words...

ok...this might turn ugly, so i wont 'sit around in a pub' and claim that the moon landing was fake or anything for that matter, including Roswell etc...but ill ask just one Q, why do aliens prefer the US for landing or to be seen at all :? ...whatever i ve heard about aliens till date, its from the US.Why :?:
(PS:That pic might have been taken from the Hubble and not by 'space exploring astronauts in a space shuttle')

Should we apply the same comment to James Cook, Colombus, Magellan and the treasuries of their respective countries?

Every culture is possessed by the craving for exploration. India has a great history of exploration - the philosophies of Indian thought are a universal source. One, as valuable as the other. Both streams of exploration lead to the future. The Indian anaylsis of perception is a parallel of the Western scientific method, just as the core of astronomy can be found within India's contributions. Two traditions, two avenues of exploration, we profit from both. We are all explorers of space.

Mere luck

Maybe the yanks are best in making money of this  But I've seen many TV shows about UFO here in Ukraine and MUCH, MUCH MORE from Russia.

Also I remember about 10 years ago I've seen something here in Kyiv... It was a clear summer day. I walked out of the house with my mom and we sptted a small crowd of random ppl gaping at the sky  . So we stopped and joined them. It looked like a yellow dot of the same size as sun (visually) but less bright. That clearly wasn't the sun as we could see one too. It wasn't the moon either (at noon). I'm not trying to say it was UFO... I never seen anying like that since then...

I find it difficult to even consider that the moon landings were faked in any manner. Sure, there's this very tiny amount of questionable evidence that questions the landings. But there is a mountainload of positive evidence they landed there. The Russians watched the US closely, they had their radars, radios, and optical instruments following every inch of progress. If there had been any fakery or deviation from the flight plan, it would have provided proof. But they did launch in a Saturn, they did go into trans-lunar orbit, the vehicles with people did orbit, then eventually land on the moon. The Russians watched all this with their radars and telescopes. If it had not happened, the Russians could have offered concrete proof of shenanigans. Because it all happened as advertised.
