When people come

and go, it inevitably affects the balance of things. I guess it's fair to say that I perceive you (manchild) as having a very different temperament to mine. Physics teaches us about action and reaction. In terms of F1T, the reaction to your "retirement" is obvious. In terms of how this will alter my F1T existence, I guess my participation (or the lack thereof) will become more understated. With very opinionated people around oneself, it's easier to use a more colourful palette of expression.

Simon: Nils? You can close in now. Nils?
John McClane: [on the guard's phone] Attention! Attention! Nils is dead! I repeat, Nils is dead, ----head. So's his pal, and those four guys from the East German All-Stars, your boys at the bank? They're gonna be a little late.
Simon: [on the phone] John... in the back of the truck you're driving, there's $13 billon dollars worth in gold bullion. I wonder would a deal be out of the question?
John McClane: [on the phone] Yeah, I got a deal for you. Come out from that rock you're hiding under, and I'll drive this truck up your ass.

I'm really disappointed that we are leaving, must even more at the fact that your F1 Fakery work is ending.
Maybe you don't realize the amount of power that we have by mocking and telling the inconvenient truths about people like Mosley. I realized it watching images of today's hearing and seeing Ron in a polite talk over coffee with Max. Ron and all people that live from the sport have to kneel at the feet of these bastards, whose power is having a license over an internationally recognized and appreciated trademark and having control over littler dictatorships (the national associates of the FIA) that help them keeping their seat indefinitely. But WHO has the power, where does it come really from? US, that watch F1, see the commercials between the TV feeds, buy tickets for the tracks, subscribe to cable networks to watch it and buy products because of their high profile that comes from sponsoring. We are the ones that empower them and are the only ones that make F1 survive or die. Better, we are free to reveal their darker sides and shed light on what they would prefer to be in the shadow.
The diffusion of your excellent work over the web was a stab on their façade, a crack on their glass roofs, even more because of the immediate understanding that even people less related with the inner politics of F1 could have, due to the immediate understanding of the message that your work provided, given your talent.

So, the lost of your work would be the lost of an important asset in reminding them that WE are in power and without us they are nothing but frustrated lawyers or politicians and that they can't keep ALL people under control because we don't depend on them and we can switch the TV off or change channel whenever we want.

Dang, I was just thinking literally this morning about finally enquiring about an avatar :P That aside, it was always brilliant seeing such ferocious arguments against Mr. Schumacher

I too am devestated by the decision earlier today. It sure puts a dark cloud on the entire sport of Formula One. In fact, this will be a larger setback for F1 than the death of Ayrton Senna. I can't stop watching the racing because I'm a racing junkie, totally addicted. But I'm saddened, hurt, and discouraged.
Today is the day when politics have become larger than the sport itself, and now the actual racing takes a back seat to egomaniacs who believe they are larger than the sport.

Manchild, if you do read this, I'm both supportive of your stand, but also saddened. It's not that the good guys lost, but most definitely, today the bad guys won the battle. Here's something I suggest, click the link, click to make the video full screen, and turn the volume up as far as it can go. Enjoy.

Manchild, I forbid you to retire from this forum! And that's final. :)

Moreover, if YOU retire, I propose ALL of us retire until you return. If Mosley can "take you away", I say maybe us can make you come back. After all, we're no less than him, friend.

So, don't dare to stay away, or we'll boycott your boycott...

Go to a party, kiss a girl (or two! :)), drink a couple of beers and check again how you feel, please.

After all, who is going to bust the b*lls of flyn? Not me... I think both of you are "un-bustable".

Besides, I can hardly wait for F1-Fakery's "comments" on the ruling. You owe us that, I think. If there is something potentially worse than censure is self-censure: life's too short.

All the best Manchild - I don't have to agree with you to appreciate the humour you brought to this place.

Nah..........sod it. Don't give up, it's actually not that bad. They are still racing after all................a McLaren driver holding the WDC at the end of the year will show which team deserved the title.

Hey MC!!!!

When I first visited this site, I used to see this guy (MC) all over the place!! For somewhile, I actually tought he was the one runnibg this forum............In many ways MC, you have been the grand daddy of this forum and you command a lot of respect...which comes mostly from the way you have always expressed yourself thorugh your posts.

I learnt "foruming" from you MC, and thanks a lot for that. It was reading your posts that taught me how to actually behave on the forum. You were the one who bound us as a family.

Thanks a lot MC, for all that you have done for this forum and its members.......and specially thanks for the sexiest avatar ever.

BTW, if you ever come to India, I should be the first one on your list to be contacted. my mail is - paulketan@gmail.com

Finally, thanks for everything

Haha~ Yes, make that a double.

manchild, if you ever read this (you shouldn't be! Ha~):

Before you throw all your toys out of the pram, why don't we all just wait and see all the evidence that was presented yesterday first before we decide whether the punishment fits the crime...

Judging from scarbs' comments (and I trust that all of us can agree that is a reliable source in this forum), McLaren is not as "up-standing" and "dignified" as Ron Dennis makes it out to be, which doesn't surprise me personally.

In other words, don't be such a Drama Queen. Besides, if you've been that obessed with F1 for 20 years I very much doubt you can just stop. Stop kidding yourself.

Meanwhile, let's all look forward to Spa. I still think ALO will take it from HAM in the end.
Thank you for reading.
