Forti was a team from back in the early 90's...very, VERY poor (okay granted not as bad as Andrea Moda LOL!!!). But yeh thts who they were. You can see their cars on the "All F1 Car's Ever" page here on F1technical.

Battle for WCC between BMW and Renault. Perhaps even domination of one of those two teams since both of them have revolutionized design of their cars relative to rival teams. If those cars are initially good than no one will catch them with development during the season because they are designed unconventionally (especially R28) and as such their aero solutions are not copyable to cars with different concept.

Ferrari, Mclaren, Red Bull, Williams in second group (in alphabetical order).

than the rest

That sounds awesome and exciting for once, which is exactly why it wont happen. We'll be lucky to have a repeat of 2007 even.

Quick note regarding Forti, the team was almost entirely funded, so I'm lead to believe, by star driver Pedro Diniz' family, they were anything between 2 and 4 secs off the pace in practice and they were painted a fantastic yellow. No red on them at all, which is why they were so slow I guess.

The driver I mentioned (Taki) in fact drove for rival teams Footwork (aka Arrows) and Simtek, which was at one time part owned by Max Mosley.

I fail to see how yellow and blue could be slow, if it brought Renault the championship 2 years in a row. :|

Wrong ratio: too much yellow, too little blue.
Isn't it obvious? :p

Here you can read an article to get a little orientation:

* In Australia we will see who was closer!
How will you see who was closer?

Fastest lap? Consistency? Simple finishing position (what if for example both Toyota have failed suspensions again? or someone crunches the wall? or 2002 launch style start?)

Anyhow I put it as:
Ferrari
McLaren
Renault = BMW
RBR
Williams
Toyota
STR
Honda
Force India
Super Aguri

Renault, BMW / RBR, Williams: THe gap between these teams I predict will be close

Forti were far from being 4 seconds off the pace.
They were 8 seconds off the pace!!! Although the car was relatively reliable.

They ussually finished GPs 7 or 8 laps down.

You see, this is not a very rigid competence where we will have one winner crowned in a gala at the end of the year. My idea was just to compare expectations (sometimes wishes) of all of us before the start of the season.

Of course first race or qualy tells you no more than a 50% of the truth:

Eg: in melbourne 2007 qualy you could see Ferrari and McLaren at front, BMW very strong and then a mixture of Toyotas, Renaults, RBR and Williams, SA very strong and at last Hondas, STR and finally Spyker. Heidfeld was in front of Lewis, Heikki was behind the SAs and Toyotas, but it was their first F1 race and the year turned to be otherwise. SA had less development and it fell down.

Till now i think me and NumberTwo are the only ones who have faith in Honda! 8-[

well my money is on Red Bull.
if they can solve their reliability issues then i reckon they should be able to compete for podiums.

However, i think Honda should be able to catch up wif BMW/RENAULT/RBR by Singapore GP

1. Ferrari (Car and driver good, especially Kimi)

2. Renault (At least There is Alonso)

3. BMW (Car looks good but not enough driver line up)

4. Mclaren ( Car looks good, Heikki is good but first season in Mclaren, I think Lewis have a little bit mental problem )

5. William ( Car will be better than last season and Nico going to improve his mental and skill)

6. Redbull ( Car will be better than last season but Mark Webber did too many mistakes in race, This year? Wiil be exactly same last year..)

7. Honda ( Button will get some point )

8. Toro roso ( Vettel is good and also Broudais )

9. Toyota ( Still too slow )

10. Force India (Sutil gonna improve, increased budget)

11. Super aguri (Sato is good but, last year, they were lucky. They'll have hard time )
