Isn't Kimi's contract up for option by RD this year? COuld it be the Kimi is putting pressure on McLaren to come up with something good or he'll leave. If williams continues improving could it be possible that Kimi would move to them? I thought RD's option on kimi for year 4 was some obscene number, like 20 million.
