For me the season MUST have these:

Spa
Monza
Suzuka
Montreal
Interlagos - (despite not liking the lay-out as it's a glorified kart track it produces good races)

Season doesn't need:
Monaco - (come race in my backyard, it'd be more spectacular)
Barcelona/Valencia - (find a Spanish circuit that produces a race)

Would like to see:
Sepang
Bahrain
Melbourne
Istanbul
Nurburgring/Hockenheim
Fuji ~
France
Singapore - as long as the race is made less processional.

Would rather not see:
Hungaroring - (last few years haven't been too bad though)

Would Kill to see:
Nurburgring Nordschliefe :( impossible
de la Sarthe
Road America

Future races WILL be in India and Abu Dhabi whether I like it or not.

if i was f1 big boss, that would be my calendar:

1.Nurburgring nordschleife if someone got a bad driver or a bad car, they will be already out by the first race.
2.Silverstone or brand hatch or maybe goodwood ?.a f1 season without a british grand prix cant be really a f1 season.
3.Spa francorchamps.Alonso said himself that it eau rouge was one the best corner in the world,we cant really throw it off from the calendar
4.Magny-cours,leMans or Charade.same thing as british gp
5.Monaco,oldest grand prix with monza, even if some find it boring, its the only street circuit i like.
6.Monza.dont need to explain
7.Gilles-Villeneuve,one the rare circuit that all team love to go and its also near where i live.
8.Sebring or road america.usa are still the most powerful country in the world and the best luxury car market.
9.Rotation for suzuka and fuji, two amazing cricuit with real overtaking opportunity and i will love to see those new f1 puncture each other tire at turn 1 of fuji.
10.Sepang.quite a good circuit.
11.Bahrain,some people seem to like it,i never took time to watch it since i was always working when it was on tele.
12.Turkey.same as bahrain
13.South africa.kyalami would be a good place to go back and it would give african continent a gp.
14.Argentina,Sana luis look to be such an amazing circuit
15.Interlagos,many agree that interlagos or suzuka have to be the last race of the season

specific tracks are not needed
what is needed is a series of tracks that examine the cars in different ways
long fast tracks with sweeping corners
short tight tracks with bumps and close barriers
combination tracks of the above
a smattering of the 'classics' (spa, silverstone, monza etc)
perhaps even some new style tracks

I would like to see fixed aero over a period of different tracks
making the teams compromise the set up over a few races (much like the fixed
gear ratios does)

oh and much less of the tyke (sp) tracks
..?

+1 for the Mexican GP! As long as its somewhere up north. And for the US GP as well.

Regarding what 'nae' said about the fixed gear ratios, I had the understanding that the gearbox had to last multiple events, but the actual ratios could be changed at each event. Unless there was a change with the new '09 regulations that I'm not aware of.

Oh, and his surname is spelled 'Tilke'.

I'd really love to see F1 in the States, or on the North American continent atleast, but Indy would definitely not be the best choice. Did anyone see last year's Allstate 400 at the Brickyard? It was awful! They threw 9 cautions for extreme tire wear, and the guys could barely race between the cautions.

How about Virginia International Raceway? That's a nice pretty track.

My dream of course would be a shortened version of the Philadelphia International Classic bicycle race. Gorgeous course, nice landmarks, plenty of public transit and places to put grandstands. But I guess everyone dreams of having a GP in their home town...
