Who mentioned Dyslexia?

Jackie Stewart does seem to have a lot of opinions, but I think that makes things more interesting and stirs things up a bit occasionally. He does however seem to wade into discussions that don't really need his input.

Ive got the article - its the one motor sport mag I buy these days - yes your correct - BCE gave the 'FIA' $350 mil for the rights then onsold them to CVC for whatever and now Slavica has the sum in her bank accounts - silly boy Bernard this divorce is going to cost you. There is also an article which I will try to find where a certain serious amount was paid to Mosely (in the vicinity of $300 mil USD - probably for services rendered) - I think it was from Tom Rubython but then his articles are only half truths arent they

There you go Chaparral, the funny thing is how these two con-artists try to look as being at odds sometimes.

Well, thanks for the input, Chap.

I just wanted to add that, at the moment (1993, when FISA disappeared, or maybe in 1991 or 1992, when Mosley won the election), apparently nobody but Ecclestone saw the commercial potential of F1. He developed a nonexistent market, he did it very cleverly. Why should he think about the manufacturers, when they were not interested in anything but the advertisement?

I also want to add, as devil's advocate, that Balestre wasn't exactly a sweet pie. Am I the only one that remembers that he suspended Ayrton Senna's superlicense after he collided at Suzuka with Prost? Senna accused FIA of manipulating the championship. The Concorde agreement was his brainchild, btw. It backfired big time, but if Balestre had had it his way, we would be contemplating a French FIA.

Besides, I always say the same thing, when people bashes Ecclestone: think for a moment about his possible replacements.

He's clever and briton enough to keep a levelled head when it counts. He, as xpensive says, apparently has played the role of bad cop (against the good cop of Mosley) many times, quite wisely.

Finally, you have to admit that Mosley gave us all a lesson in 1992 when he won the election: it's not the big european clubs what counts at FIA, it's the small ones, around the world. I hope that the next decent guy that goes for the position remembers that. On the other hand, I doubt very much that any decent guy will try to be elected... unless some "Internet miracle" happens.

Well, I guess you have to toe that line for whatever reason Ciro.
Regarding "small clubs", I gather that you refer to some African states which have very little or no sport activities per se, but their vote counts just as much as anyone elses? Just like...like...ah..when electing host for the Olympic games!

After seeing Max's latests comments that Hamilton should drive at least one season for Ferrari I'm convinced more than ever he's unfit to be running the show. (http://www.planet-f1.com/story/0,18954, ... 02,00.html)

I can't think of any sporting body where the (essentially) CEO gives out so-called advice to individuals/teams like that. A sports administrators role is to run things, ostensibly as an impartial uninvolved manager, so Max should shut his trap on matters which don't concern him like this. It shows a basic failing in his role and makes me wonder if there are more significant things he sees fit to try to meddle with.

I actually wonder why he does it at all.

Correct me where I go wrong, but didn't Max have a close relative involved in British politics in the 1930's?

Really interesting that MattF1, I wonder if Max possibly took some impressions from his dad? Naaah...
