I just don't understand why the Piquets would get themselves into this situation. Whatever happens, they can't win.

The only thing I can think of is that they'd approached other teams for a drive once jr was ousted, but no one else wanted him, so they decided to go out in a blaze of (non)glory. Is this just a case of latin temperament? We've already seen some from a mature (and whom I thought to be quite level headed) Rubens earlier this year.

Flavio and Mr Alonso crying...so he had a weak moment...and he crashed...
i know it was wrong, that does not mean only he is completely blamed for this

Yeah I guess they should all get some sort of punishment. Junior should get the most severe though, he did actually commit the offense. No matter what the threat from Flavio, he should've told the old man to shove it and exposed him for it. Now he's ruined his career, called his integrity into question, and probably won't be hired in Formula 1 ever again. Which is what he deserves.
