Qualy
1. Leclerc
2. Norris
3.Max

Result

1.Max
2.Norris
3.Leclerc

Will be mighty close though imo.
I don't think I'll be too far wrong. Redbull on the back foot (for now) but it does seem as though mclaren and ferrari are genuinely right there on the shoulder of redbull now. It's now come to the point whereby they need to extract every little bit to keep p1 otherwise its no longer good enough as it has been before.

WDC + WCC race on? Potentially seeing as both ferrari and mclaren have 2 very good drivers each and redbull have perez

I think if Max isn't at the top then there's probably a better chance he'll be behind Sainz or Piastri or both.

One stop - M-H or two stops M-M-S? Or even one stop M-S?

I wouldn't say Piastri is better than Perez.

1 stop could be the option. But if there's a late(ish) Safety car then could be ball in Ferrari court. Mclaren seem to be on the back foot with the tyres, unless they have just scrubbed a hard/med in for a lap

they have, same as Aston Martin. The number I added in brackets is the tire age.

I see it like this in Q3.

1. Lando
2.Charles 0.150s
3.Piastri 0.2s
4.Sainz 0.3s
5. Verstappen 0.5s
6. Russel 0.7s
7. Perez 0.8s

One of those is crashing out.

My understanding is that the medium is a pretty shocking race tyre here and that S-H or S-S-H is the expected strategy. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

it's one of the longest pit lanes of the year, so everyone will try a 1-stopper. Would expect M-H. Medium looked good in practice to me.

I would. Piastri is very close to Norris pace wise and he isn't crash prone or inconsistent at all. Not to mention that he is in his second F1 season and is already considered to be really good. He isn't a top tier driver just yet, but he is definitely a step above Perez and it isn't really very close. I'd say he's about Sainz level at this point.
