Forgetting the Saudi Arabian GP? I would say they are fairly even overall. Hamilton obviously had a shocker there in Saudi Arabia with a poor qualifying and a P10 vs Russell in P5 IIRC. Of course, Russell similarly had a shocker in Bahrain qualifying.

Otherwise there seems to be margin of a tenth and a half between the drivers at the most when there are no errors from either. "Easily defeated" would, instead, apply to scenarios like the margin of 1+ seconds which Albon usually holds over Latifi.

These new cars will keep all teammates close. Within a tenth and a half at their best.
Even mighty Max is scratching his head over how close Perez is.
Sainz has not put a good race together since the first race and is still finding his way.
Ocon and Alonso are very close.
Daniel and Norris very close as well.
So its all been very close amongst competent drivers. No one will be easily defeated this year. The cars really allow battles to be won and lost multiples of times during a race.

More likely either trying to get Ocon back or paying Mclaren a fairly large amount for Norris.
Remains to be seen what will be the situation for Sainz and Ricciardo in a couple of years, they can be more conservative choices.

He’s a minor backer in a consortium, his purported stake would amount to less than half a percent. He isn’t vying to be any kind of principal ‘owner’.

Seems like a decent place to park some money, good bit of business imo.
