This forum contains threads to discuss teams themselves. Anything not technical about the cars, including restructuring, performances etc belongs here.
I'll give credit to the drivers, Hamilton with a terrible setup and Leclerc with damage still managed to keep up with the top 6. In lesser hands I think this race could've gone a lot worse.
Good on ham to suggest swap, good Ferrari to avoid giving max drs with ham, in the end the lack of 1 stopper plan was the real bad, having lec burn tires behind rus didn’t help.
The rear is too weak as of now, we need to add more downforce there. Charles did a fine job considering his broken FW, he also called for a one stop from the start, but the team didn't listen and we lost P4 because of it.
I think we’ll need to reserve final judgement until the likes of Suzuka in a couple of weeks time on a more conventional weekend, where there’s a few Free Practice Sessions for the teams to try dial themselves in properly for the race. Obviously there’s some potential giving Lewis’ sprint win, but looks like everyone else made progress between the spring to Grand Prix whilst Ferrari went backwards…
As mentioned previously, I think it’s a race for P2 in the constructors this year… and P3/P4 for the drivers. Given the change of regulations for next year changing so much, nobody in their right mind will develop much this season… so don’t expect miracles.
if this were Sainz..the race would have been a bigger mess with radio drama. Hamilton is a team player, and demonstrated that well today. Speaking of Sainz, he is having trouble adapting to the Williams. It's a good reference of how difficult it is to settle into a new team with these complex cars.
This track wasn't good. the new asphalt and these new pirelis gave a boring race. The 2025 cars also make overtaking even harder.
Probably should have pitted Charles for a second time first as well. He was able to extract good pace on good tyres. Wing damage was probably leading to more tyre deg.
Either way. I think there’s pace in the car. At one point it was far quicker than the Merc, until the tyres faded away
