Yes, against the legendary Alex Yoong, Robert Doornboos, Christian klein and antonio pizzonia. One year where Nick Heidfeld partnered Webber, inspite of racing only 14 races, had better results than him. Two years with DC, he was down in both seasons with DC getting one podium. In 2009, Vettel got 4 poles and 4 wins whereas Webber got 1 pole and 2 wins. In 2010, Vettel got 10 poles and 5 wins, whereas Webber got 5 poles and 4 wins. Let's not even talk about 2011. The worst performance ever by a team mate in a dominating car.
So, tell me how great Vettel's record looks against Webber, the great driver before 2011.
You do realize that Vettel was racing before RBR in Torro Rosso right? Giving Torro Rosso their first win. In the rain at Monza fending of Hamilton. Also he overtook Hamilton that year in Interlagos, in the rain?/
Also concerning the RBR years, if the car was so dominant, then why was Webber not always 2nd in the WDC in comparison with the Mercedes drivers? Because the RBR was not always the fastest car. Vettel outperformed the car...
But Vettel is not perfect. Far from it, he has his ups and downs. And when he gets frustrated, he doesn't go well (2014 frustrated at Renault, tires, etc. - coming from a 4 year spree of WDC, this doesn't make it better). 2016 - a year where Ferrari had made his life miserable with broken reliability and terrible strategy. Also he doesn't look as hungry anymore as the young Vettel. The guy has 4 WDC, would you still be as hungry in that stage?
I think a lot is going with Vettel, future will show us what he is still capable of.
