I don't understand what Ferrari were thinking. Pitting was the most obvious thing. Even if the shower passed quickly, it was heavy enough that the slicks weren't going to work for at least 7 laps.

I don't understand how supposedly 'top tier' personnel can be so incompetent in a multi billion dollar corporation. They should've been fired long ago.

Hamilton and Verstappen before him struggling to even tip toe thru the final 3 corners before the pit entry on the lap Ver pitted was evidence enough for someone who had f*/*ing eyes to see. But nooooo, those mfs must get their brain into idle revs right at that very moment.

So quiet here! Amazing race, up until the last laps. Mclaren seems to have build an all rounder, Max is exceptional in the rain and the top10 is closer in the last year of this regulations.

It is a miracle that the McLarens survived the initial rainfall. They were both off track. I thought it was Russia 2021 for both of them.

George Russell put in a solid veteran drive. He knew he didn't have the car to fight at the top. So he held back to bide his time. And was there to scoop a podium.

Max was vintage Max.

Antonelli with the recovery drive of the season. That Mercedes is a very good car for these drives. Anytime George or Lewis started towards the back in the last 2 years , they almost always moved through the field. With literally all the rookies crashing this weekend, I would have told the kid on the radio to hold station and not go for that last pass. It was too risky.

Lawson got the 2nd fastest lap of the race for what thats worth

Verstappen is just inevitable. He makes everyone else look like a complete amateur. No matter what he finds his way into the top 2.

I'm really disappointed in Ferrari, they were nowhere all race and still managed to screw up an easy 4-5 finish.

Also it was impressive how boring this race was despite the circumstances. 6 rookies, rain, DRS enabled more or less the whole race, several safety cars and it was still only barely an exciting ending after the dullest first 30 laps I've ever seen. For some reason the safety car periods ended up insanely long as well, which made it even more dull.

Very dull opening race, a wet race usualy has more exitement but this just turned into a procession.

It looked really tricky out there, with experianced drivers like Alonso and Sainz going off is shows how hard it must have boon for the rookie drivers. Not the 1st race most would have hoped for to get to know your new car.

It looked like Sainz got a PU shift torque surge when he wasn't expecting it. The RB looks better than expected. The Ferrari wasn't where I expected them. Max always finds a way. Lawson is going to get Perez'd, just a matter of when.

Ferrari may have decided to gamble on LH tire strategy because he was struggling to overtake Albon in intermediate.
Many have predicted that wet race will benefit LH, but that wasn't the case at Australia.
Perhaps LH needed more time to adapt to Ferrari.
