i quite like it. probably stabalises the airflow and stops the fin vibrating. maybe mclaren could use this to hold their rear wing on......

McLaren finally pull a revised 2009 spec rear wing out of the bag...

looks like a slightly elevated central leading edge?

doesn't seem to have improved their pace.

They tested that wing at Jerez. Not sure if it's doing what they hope...

You can also see that the exhaust-pipe is turned to the top of the rear wing. Creating more downforce?

Will someone please tell me that Mclaren are going to be fast all year and that they have something up their sleeve and they are sandbagging...? [-o<

They are going to be slow, they are not sandbaging, they are running their engines harder than they can durring a race just to get the pace they have now. They are a bunch of lucky idiots and that's the only reason they were fast for 2 years. :^o

Yes I am joking, there is no way to prove what I just said. We'll know for sure in about 18 days.

I can't believe that they are really the slowest, I think they are concentrating on high fuel load runs and making the car work on them.

If they are honestly behind the other Merc runners I'd be shocked and there will be serious head rolling. I'm still expecting a v.2 of the entire back end to turn up.

Outwardly the corporate face is not panicing...they MUST have a plan...

More likely it will be the underside of the lower element.

Well...

Ron Dennis has stepped down.

I think the last car program Martin Whitmarsh took full charge of was the MP/4-18...

I don't think there's a big plan behind the way the exhaust points upwards like it does. They had to cut up the bodywork that was there before the Merc engine.
