Anything less than an easily controlled win, with or without a Safety Car, will be shocking. RB20 continues where RB19 finished, especially with mid-downforce configuration - as seen in Bahrain, Suzuka and China. If either McLaren or Ferrari believe they have stepped ahead of RB, they are delusional. But neither team suggests this and are quite realistic about their place. Getting closer to the leader and getting ahead of them are two very different things.
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

haha, we 2nd best team behind Ferrari now.... Their upgrade is massive and going to take them ahead of RB.

*Tongue in cheek comment. Certainly be interesting to see the difference.

So new floor and front wing...possibly we are about to see the real front wing of the RB20 ? the one that didn't pass the first crash test in January ? would replace the current front wing which is actually quite simple especially in the nose area.

Oh do behave :D

It does appear that SF & McL are at least playing on the same field now.

Anyone else get the feeling they are both now past the barrier of "corrective" design changes into refinement of this concept, a much closer position to hold in relation to RB than previously obvious.

Essentially the development curve is different in trying to bring good foundation to a concept, in comparison to the advance within evolving a sound concept. One a concept, with the other entailing changes based on real performance already observed catalogued and considered if it can then be improved within these rule constraints, much more "polishing" than fundamental change of direction.

Alot of this to be binned after next year's competition  just when it starts to get good in racing terms.

(German) Formel-1-Liveticker: No worries at Red Bull

At Sky Deutschland, Dr. Helmut Marko just conducted an interview with Sandra Baumgartner and expert Timo Glock. In this he made it clear that there was no need to worry about the performance of the RB20 and especially not that of Max Verstappen.

If he were to get all three sectors together cleanly, "he would certainly be two tenths" ahead of the rest, says Dr. Marko. But he is definitely impressed by the performance of the Ferraris, which were impressive with the updates.

When asked about the amount of updates, he was less surprised: "We have gradually brought things, they haven't", so it is clear that when a team brings a big package, it looks like a lot.
