You can't presume that the the rest of the car (excluding the rear wing) generates the same down force as others. Williams have lacked mechanical grip for years. that why redbull is such an efficient chassis they generate efficient downforce through the floor section getting better downforce efficiency, and not by have to run a bigger rear wing, the bigger rear wings of the williams and mclaren will cause inefficient drag and kills the top speeds, and especially in spa or monza, top speeds are very important.You can't presume that the the rest of the car (excluding the rear wing) generates the same down force as others. I don't know why they still come up with these speeches. I've lost count of the times they said something similar only to show little to no improvement at all after running the "non conservative" modes. When they should start pushing or not is up to themselves, they have plenty of people good enough to decide that. What I'm saying is that they always have that speech of "more performance to come" when a lot of times that extra performance simply doesn't come that easy.Jef Patat wrote:I think it's quite normal to not push it from the first moment.
