F1 | Pirelli remains at Suzuka: two days of testing with Red Bull and VCARB to study the 2027 tyres
After the cancelled tests in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, the Milan-based manufacturer will have to concentrate part of the work on the two days of testing at Suzuka between Tuesday and Wednesday. The goal is above all to work on the construction, in the refinement phase, but also to evaluate some new compounds for the harder tyres.

I do hope an extensive check is completed on Hadjar's car. To have respectable qualifying pace and have sectors like that is most strange :?

Reason is, the spirit within the team changed (because of Mintzlaff)...

Do you have a source that the reason is Mintzlaff?

Laurent Mekies: We expect to be among the group that receives ADUO.

Laurent Mekies was asked about the possible updates from ADUO, but first addressed the problems at Red Bull - "Regarding the critical aspects: we don't think there is one specific area where there are shortcomings. We think it is across the board. It's the chassis, the power unit — it's everything."

"It is difficult to assess your performance relative to the competition, especially in the game of energy deployment and such. But to answer your question as directly as possible: we think Mercedes is clearly ahead. And since they are clearly ahead, we expect to be part of the group that receives ADUO."

The Red Bull Racing team has stayed at the Suzuka circuit. After a disappointing Grand Prix, they are conducting a special tire test for Pirelli today.
Max Verstappen is absent, viewtopic.php?p=1339270#p1339270
but his teammate Isack Hadjar is behind the wheel.

Red Bull gets the chance to put in some laps again today. Together with sister team Racing Bulls, they have stayed at the Suzuka circuit, where they are conducting a special tire test for Pirelli. It was pouring rain this morning, but that didn't stop the teams. Japanese fans spotted both teams on the track this morning. Isack Hadjar was behind the wheel for Red Bull, while Liam Lawson drove the Racing Bull.

It appears that Hadjar will drive all day today and will also be in action tomorrow. It was previously stated that reserve driver Yuki Tsunoda would make his first laps in the new F1 car, but that does not seem to be the case.

Just boilerplate comments, really. Every team is gonna say the exact same thing.

Red Bull are probably just in the more precarious position of possibly losing one of the best ever talents in F1 if they fail.

They don't have any correlation issues since the end (October?) of last year.

Last year Wache and his engineers could develop with confidence knowing the correlation was great!

However, the new cars may have thrown off the good correlation they've had. I believe they had correlation issues in 2018 too when changes were made to the car!

I think they should just let him go now.

He can go and drive those Gran Turismo cars round the tourist track, and Hadjar and Lawson can be rewarded for throwing everything into testing to get the team back into contention.

I have the feeling Max wants to jump ship now that they are no longer the "fastest".

Bit of a shame - was hoping he's up to the challenge.

I think that's apt. After his father colluded with Marko to destroy the team, it's the best Max can do to perfectly finish off this team. Mintzalaf played to their demands and look where this team has landed. If they sell this team now, they make decent money. If they wait for a few years in the hope of a revival, which may never come, then they have to sell it for like half the current price when it becomes a lower midfield team.

BYD is looking for an F1 team and they may pay good bucks for this team.
