From my experience Nugnes isn't as unreliable as some claim but he does sometimes get it wrong, so that's why take it with a pinch of salt.

On the RB19, the actual Venturi Canal Gorge is quite high and set back, which means that Red Bull has once again given up the peak downforce generated by the channels in order to widen the generation window as the ground clearance changes. However, this does not mean that the RB19 does not generate enough downforce, it simply generates it differently, without focusing only on the theoretical dictates of ground effect, which would like the Venturi channel as close as possible to the asphalt. Conversely, the Ferrari SF-23 remained a clearly ground effect car, with the central part of the Venturi tunnels almost in contact with the asphalt. The Italian team is thus forced to use more rigid settings of the mechanics to contain the lowering of the ground clearance at higher speeds, otherwise the risk of exceeding the wear of the plank, regulated and under the magnifying glass especially after the introduction of the DT 39/22.

Formu1a uno think again that the difference is that the RB floor is less sensitive to ride height changes as opposed to a magic carpet suspension system. It's possible that this magical suspension system that Ferrari are chasing may be a fools errand. Ferrari's problem may not actually be mechanical. F1 teams have had years and years of experience with suspension systems. I'm not sure it's correct to say it's a silver bullet. It may simply be that the downforce sensitivity of the floor is causing slip of the axles in the middle of the corner which destroys the tires.

Can’t see Ferrari bringing RB style side pods this year tbh. They’re limited because of the SIS and the whole concept has been designed around the bathtub pods to suit the cooling etc. Plus not sure if it would give them much.

Sure the issue is more with the floor and suspension to give the car the operating window. Biggest thing Ferrari need to do is to get to a point by middle of the season where they’ve either got a concept to keep developing and evolving for next season. Or they realise the concept is completely dead and needs a whole new one.

I know we all think we know which is the case on here, however we might all be proved wrong yet. Either way, for me the key thing is to keep upgrading all season to learn more about these ground effect cars. If the season doesn’t improve they need to be testing variations and validating results ready for next season, not stopping and chucking everything at 2024 in a Wind tunnel that doesn’t collerate

New floor was just diffuser and some edge details, if I recall...

wasn't that only the floor edge?
The main visible difference was the front of the floor/tunnel entry, not the side edges.

Formu1auno also say that the redbull isn't a ground effect car like the Ferrari and others

Wich could explain why they never had as much porpoising from the start

Will Ferrari make a huge step at Barcelona with rear suspension and floor upgrade ? Fred said upgrades will be visible. So maybe side pod changes ? Hopefully he did not mean new mirrors.

I'll expect them to stay the same relative pace, RB and AM also have upgrades. If they manage to make a dent on the RB advantage, that'll be a pleasant surprise but i think having zero expectations is the healthy way to approach this. :oops:
