I do agree. If Norris didn't do that mistake he would have started probably next to Sainz and we could have gone better.
Don't forget that usually the car in front has a slight advantage to the car that chases when the differences are small.

He impress me a lot this year he's so fast and faster than Sainz Norris is in my top 3 drivers just behind lewis and max

The car absolutely comes alive on low fuel, definitely work to do on high fuel though as there were times where the pace was behind not only the Racing Point and Renault but the Alpha Tauri of Gasly as well.

Still, another great weekend for the team. Credit will obviously go to Lando for those mega last two laps but big respect to Sainz for unselfishly playing the team game to allow Lando through for this to happen and then pumping in a fastest lap.

When do we expect Mclaren to be a championship winning car? Are we waiting for the reset in 2022? Is that our only chance? Norris also said it best. Tyre management at the start.

Dont forget guys the engine i think that the mercedes engine is more powerfull than the renault by some margin in hungary we can beat the pink on pure pace

Not sure, I think we can only beat them on strategy, for now. Like Norris said, they’re fast everywhere.

Yes, the RP’s are fast everywhere... And we should expect a rough Hungary GP... But it still early to make assessments in regards to pace, but the fact that we are close to them means that “If” we are behind, we could make the jump forward with development... If there is a difference, it doesn’t feel as huge one.

Also, with the teams been so close, the drivers are making a difference and we have a very good line-up

Hhhh dont worry about the pink mclaren will get only stronger just we have to focus on heavy fuel setup

I am sure we will outdevelop the Pink Mercedes by Silverstone. Their car cannot get too much potential as it is almost a fully upgraded car. Our car started from 0. It has a huge potential and huge time to squeeze out of it. We got more money, a better organisation, better drivers and we are generally better as a team.

Mercedes are an absolute behemoth so anyone that wants to topple them will have to do an outstanding job. From where McLaren have come from, that is a journey that takes years but the signs last year and early this year is that they have at least started that journey.

Really intrigued by the next two races- Hungary and its twists and slower pace will test different attributes, whilst Silverstone will be testing the sweeping high speed effectiveness.

Plenty to learn and analyse coming up and whilst we might get a reality check we might also see a glimpse of light!

Two good weekends and the best part of 40 WCC points- excellent work.

This is what makes the great teams great, even when things are not working perfectly, they can execute and exploit any mistakes from their competitors. Both cars finished, both cars maximized the result available to them, Sainz got the fastest lap, Norris got Ricciardo and Stroll on the last lap with the bonus Perez on the last corner. Very nice to see it coming back to McLaren.

This is what gives you constructor positions. Looking good for a solid points haul this year. Hopefully we can jump ahead of Racing Point, or at least split them to not lose a lot of points every race.

I just wonder with Toto now committed to aston martin he'll help the pink by sharing some datas and the way to develop their car so we have to be careful and win the developing war
