Is there any place where we can see the Wheel bases of all these cars? Does McLaren have the shortest wheel Base?
Found it...

Oh wow, promise to take over as team principal.

Not sure how I feel about this, I don't like people who play "dumb" and I feel GP and Max purposely do that when things don't go their way. GP also eggs Max on. I much prefer Stella's clear and honest way. Hopefully if he becomes TP that he will adopt the McLaren culture.

I think GP just handles Max pretty well think he knows when to be firm with him and not to antagonise him they know each others boundaries

With Max I think they are missing Horners influence as much as Christian loved agtagnizing other teams or sometimes the media he had his boundaries and think maybe Max - as much as I like and think we need his honesty has maybe been a little over the top in recent times knowing no one will pull him into line - albeit don't thinkCH would made any difference to where RB are not.

I think GP would large adapt to McLarens style while keeping enough of himself too

I know he handles him, but I don't think it is in anyone's interest to support Max thinking he is being a victim of stewards or other drivers (in the heat of the moment). GP is known for his snarky comments about other teams.

As team principal he wouldn't be in that situation so hopefully it doesn't happen.

I would guess Stella would get a move up the ladder. Hes quite ingrained abd us clearly close with Zak. Maybe a role not travelling all the time will be better for him. Hes mid 50s now.

He's italian and a proud one, but he has been at Ferrari and knows what kind of politics goes on in that team..

Really hope he gets a senior role at McLaren

Hmm...interesting move. Not know what to say cause I was and I am not a huge fan of GP and his way of doing business sometimes (remember last year when his words almost crushed young Kimi for a mistake he did in Qatar and being accused he gave position to Lando on purpose).
On the other side he deal well with Max and we all know that is not an easy job.
What I am expecting is that in 2028 McLaren to still be a top contender in formula 1 and GP to work well with Lando, OP or another driver McLaren will have by then.

And one question arise with the GP news? What is happening with Max? Mercedes or retiring from F1?

I think though a lot of that is just Max specific he has at times pushed back in Max too.

I agree in so far though I am not sure it is wise for McLaren when Stella is doing a pretty good job unless he is planning on moving or - and I doubt this - Max is also in talks to join McLaren? And GP is part of this?

However, behind the scenes McLaren also entered the frame and became the preferred option as it made a bold bid to secure him in a senior management position.
It is understood that Lambiase’s chief focus will be in taking on some of the in-weekend racing responsibilities that Stella currently has under his umbrella.

So maybe also Andrea will stay. That will be better for McLaren.

Stella is 55, so 57 for the 2028 season, hes going to want to wind it down, and probably not want 24 race weekends by 60. He deserves a nice move to a more senior role, and a transition to a younger TP seems sensible.
