VW likely see such an investment as a down payment on a further 50% in the event Mateschitz retires and whoever replaces him doesn't share the love of F1. There's plenty of more cost effective ways of selling their caffeine and sugar syrup.
Actually, with the budget cap in place there most likely isn't. Only a nutcase would pull RB out of F1 completely, especially when it costs them almost nothing. Not gonna happen, Mateschitz or not.
Their prize money and sponsorship monies are roughly equal to their operating expenses?

‘’a Honda deal’’ What RBR/Honda deal? A deal like they are running? Because neither a RBR finger can be imagined in a Honda engine.

Red Bull or other corporates, everyone likes free marketing. If billions worth of it comes for free, it's dream situation. Red Bull F1 struck some major sponsorship deals recently and their revenue is around $500 USD. Way more than what is needed for F1 racing team. Hence, they can independently run an engines division too with that revenue. Red Bull GMBH holdings need not have to pay a penny, yet get billion dollar worth in promotional value. Only a fool would want to throw it away.

Excellent race from the team, again. Pitstops and strategy calls on point

Car had an excellent balance from FP3 onwards, had the best race pace, and this is despite the circuit looking quite bad on paper for the RB18

Expecting Perez to need a 4th engine at Monza, but should be a strong weekend for the RB18 again. Not expecting anything like the Spa advantage however

Verstappen should take a break for 4 races and he will still come out and win championship few races before season end.

Max is about 1.81 m I think and about 74 kg. Rico is WC heavy weight kickboxing (118 kg!), so no problem to lift him with one arm.

I would LOVE to have this WDC down up in Japan. It’s massively optimistic but it would be amazing for Honda. Realistically, I think it will be COTA where we crown Max the champ

So far there hasn't been a single mention or thanks to Honda by redbull or any news outlet. Lets hope that changes soon...

That isn't correct. In Spa they thanked Honda by having a Hondaman, Makoto Yoshino-san on the podium receive the trophy
and in addition Helmut Marko thanked the Honda people by name for the new PU after the race at German TV.

Marko says Porsche won't be a shareholder in Red Bull.

Did Honda give them an offer they couldn't refuse when the big bosses visited at the Austrian GP? 😆

Since that visit we had the HRC boss saying he wants Honda to return on the car from next season, talk of Honda wanting to buy the team and all is not well with Porsche negotiations, now Marko indicating that the deal is dead in the water?

A Suzuka special announcement on the cards?
