The Y250 area is unconventional. What is the advantage of this design compared to the other teams (below)? Why the turned-up element on the Renault?

Red Bull have a similar main plane (divides into two elements outboard), but they do not have this up-turn on the first Y250 producing wing tip -- so why do Renault have it?

The midfield is so incredibly close, it hardly means anything.
