I reckon RB will be taking it easy on the engine this race too. They could give the engine a easier time in Baku knowing they had the race 'won' when Charles retired.

It could be similar this weekend if they know Charles is going to be starting from the back of the grid. I really dont think Sainz will be a major worry for either RB driver.

I wonder how the degradation is on the Honda this year, last year they did make all engines/components last the whole season, IF you exclude the fresh engine that Max took at Silverstone which was written off.
.
The Honda PU used up to Baku showed almost no wear. This was announced last Wednesday.
Exactly the same as last year. The first PU will last a very long time in the FPs.

Charles would start 11th if he's qualifies first. Worst case for him is 13th position.
He can quickly work his way up to sixth or fith after about 10 to 13 laps. On the hards he will stay out until a safety car then he should be in striking distance of the top three. Carlos should let him through to attack the bulls if Carlos is unable to do so.... And viola, a win!

Providing he doesnt take any additional elements. I believe if he does, it would be behind Tsunoda who is already starting from the back.
Mess with the Bull - you get the horns.

A quick one regarding back of grid penalties.....If Tsunoda took his penalty Friday, and 2 other teams took a back of grid penalty on saturday. Tsunoda would move up 2 places?

So Leclerc will have a 4th PU incl a Turbo and will start at the end of the grid behind Tsunoda.

Leclerc will start last on Sunday. Ferrari will change PU again on the F1-75 of the Monegasque,
not going into penalty only with the turbo but also with other elements.
Very correct strategic move and to do so needed to clear a PU without turbo today

will be interesting to see if he still moves on to Q3 to give Sainz a tow (if it turns out to be dry)

Statistically speaking : Carlos Sainz has 148 GP starts and still looking for his first win. He is closing in on Martin Brundle in 5th place all time. Lets hope the Spaniard can shake off the bad luck and claim his first GP win. In the past the Canadian GP had several drivers claim their first ever GP win such as Gilles Villeneuve 1978, Thierry Boutsen 1989, Jean Alesi 1995, Lewis Hamilton 2007, Robert Kubica 2008 just to name a few.

I see both sides. I think Vettel has achieved something here as I would think more people are now aware of tar sand mining than perhaps there were before this GP weekend.

People are also more aware he has his own private jet too.
