I think what matters is that the new parts are working, so correlation is good with the wind tunnel and CFD. So it's reasonable to expect that the further upgrades during the season will bring similar gains. By Barcelona I expect Verstappen to fight for the win. Hats off to Wache, Mekies, and the engineers. And of course Super Max is doing what he's been doing last year, getting the absolute maximum out of the car. With Hadjar the team would still be nowhere.
Well done RBR, meaningful update to the car , which managed to beat one badly setup Mercedes on race pace, whilst still being overweight. Tells me that the balance of the car is reasonable. Struggle is in the high speed S1 and the mickey-mouse slow corners at the end of S2 , both of which point to a weight problem. But otherwise, car looking good. Only in the hands of Max. Hadjar struggling with slower pace than Gasly in the Alpine.

Big step forward on the chassis side - its still overweight and struggles in the low speed but it looks easier to drive and seems to take care of its tires extremely well. The good thing is the engine is mega - hats off to Ben Hodgkinson and team at RBPT - they seem to have an engine advantage over Ferrari and don't honestly seem too far off the Mercedes cars. To have achieved this in their first ever PU is one of the most impressive things I've seen in F1 recently. Hopefully they can nerf it just enough to sneak in an ADUO allowance but even if they don't there's still 0.2-0.3s a lap in weight reduction alone which once addressed will let Max fight for wins at certain circuits.
