I think you can put him ALMOST even with Vettel.

To be Frank, I am a HUGE Alonzo Fan, but have not been overly impressed with his driving this year. I attribute that to Fernado not being very exited when he's outside the top 10. It could be he's lost his edge. I don't know.... he could come in next year with a Very Good McHonda and leave Vandoorne 100 points in his wake.

Last year his driving was unimpressive but the car was a disaster. This year he has done some great races when things have worked. If the car is a front-runner in 2017 we will see a ver competitive Alonso again.

And Button is so good and constant that he makes the other drivers look worse than they really are.

I like how Honda and Hasegawa approaching the Singapore grand prix. Hasegawa said that they "Hope" McHonda will get some good points.
While Boulier is approaching the race with his usual "We'll show em how good we are" attitude and Alonso is hoping to fight with "Ferrari". I wonder was there any need to heighten the expectations like that?
If McHonda disappoints in Singapore they will rightfully get tons of flaks and ultimately most of the blame will be fall on Honda, despite Honda not asking for it.
Boulier is making the team a laughingstock.

That's a really positive "update" ! I guess they believe they're gonna be in front of Ferrari soon and they want to make them rub their eyes that the car in front is a McLaren

Honda should leave F1 if Mclaren can't get top 8 this weekend. That's the best chassis on the grid and it deserves better.
