I don't know, without the interesting V shape we would talk about an evolution of the 2024 introduced FW. Because the arrangement of the FW elements are still the same, no new philosophy.
I would rather like to see the floor and sidepods.
That change is huge. These cars are limited to what they can do on the front wing. Plus it's not where the difference in DF between teams is coming from. Most wing changes are all about the floor and controlling where the air goes once it's past the wing.
Alonso: "[These will] not be the last. We hope to bring more innovations to Monaco, Canada or Barcelona, and little by little we will get closer"
In reality, in my opinion it's a fairly minimal thing, the hollowed out central part is already present in other cars while the V shape in front of the front wheel I don't know how much of an advantage it could give to flows. It's not a revolution on the front wing for me, the Mercedes one is a total change in philosophy
They need this to work to dispell the doubters. Apparently they have another big update for Silverstone. Team is at least efficient at producing updates now. New factory already feels like it’s making a difference.KimiRai wrote: ↑16 May 2024, 19:24Analysis on the front wing changes from Motorsport. Also according to them Aston Martin is expected to unveil a whole host of new parts on Friday, including a new floor, sidepod and engine cover bodywork.

Let’s hope the update gives Alonso wings
The hollowed out center is cooling for the driver. It was there in the first race or testing, it isn´t new. Has no performance impact.xReVo wrote: ↑16 May 2024, 19:22In reality, in my opinion it's a fairly minimal thing, the hollowed out central part is already present in other cars while the V shape in front of the front wheel I don't know how much of an advantage it could give to flows.
